Feckenham FC is delighted that the Oakland Foundation will be sponsoring their junior section in an exciting partnership.
As a Worcestershire-based charity, which launched in 2012 and officially opened by HRH, The Princess Royal, the Oakland Foundation’s primary objective is to support the needs of children under the age of 16 and their families living in Redditch, Bromsgrove and the surrounding area focusing on education, health and nutrition and sport.
Feckenham FC commented that the community work the Foundation has done since opening and the work we continue to do ‘is nothing short of fantastic’, from supporting those most vulnerable within society via foodbanks and educational initiatives in conjunction with local first, middle and high schools, to the support of the YMCA and many other charitable organisations within our local community.
Feckenham FC Academy added that they are pleased to share the same ambitions and ethos as the Foundation whose primary objective is to support local children.
The partnership will see the Oakland Foundation logo appear on all junior kits from the 2020/21 season, the Foundation’s logo proudly displayed at Feckenham FC’s facility based at The Recreation Ground Brickyard Lane and the creation of a Discretionary Fund – which the club describes as ‘a superb initiative to support any of our less fortunate children enabling Feckenham FC Academy the chance to continue to provide affordable football for all.’
Oakland Foundation Trustee, Mark Williams, commented: “The Oakland Foundation is delighted to support and partner with Feckenham Football Club Academy. The introduction of the Discretionary Fund will help remove any financial barriers and enable more local children to play and benefit from what is a fantastic team and community sport.”
Club Chairman Tony Round said: “The club is delighted to have agreed a sponsorship deal with the Oakland Foundation to become the principal sponsor of our junior section.
“We’ve made great strides over the past couple of years in growing a sustainable and affordable football provision for the youngsters within the local area, partnering with an organisation like the Oakland Foundation, who have many of the same aims, will enable us to build on the excellent work already done by the academy committee and coaches.
“We look forward to working with the Oakland Foundation and to hopefully creating a long and fruitful relationship.”
